Women Geared for Growth in collaboration with Studio Facture is calling artists (gender inclusive) who have been victims of sexual violence in some form or another to create one work of art that speaks to their experience, strength, or hope.
The intention of the exhibition is to provide a platform for artists themselves to advocate the concept of freedom of expression through: taking a stand, recovery, vulnerability and speaking out against sexual violence through art. And in turn give the audience an opportunity to have insights into the experience of the artist.
How to Apply
Artists who wish to participate are asked to submit a pdf document containing:
– A written proposal of no more than 300 words around the concept and artwork the artist intends to create
– An artist statement
– Artist biography
Submissions to be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org
