Paola Torres Núñez del Prado is an artist and nomadic mother. Having spent a few years in New York, Paola now lives like the hermit crab, carrying her home on her back, between Lima, her hometown, and Stockholm. Her work draws on Conceptual Art and is materialized through the use of traditional Peruvian fabrics that she modifies with new technologies. The use of analog and digital media allows her to elaborate a critical discourse on the implicit need to interpret or decode works of art.
Heri work is permanently represented in large collections such as the Malmö Konstmuseum and the State Art Council of Sweden. Paola has exhibited individually in numerous exhibitions in Sweden, Peru and Brazil, and collectively in France, Norway, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Mexico and Luxembourg, among others.
