Born in 1978 in Recife, Pernambuco. Lives and works in Madrid, Spain. He holds a master’s degree in Art Therapy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He graduated with a degree in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in 2002. Certain themes are recurring in his art, such as his use of hair in works such as Apollo and Daphne, 2014, or Ogum Georgius Capillus, 2016, in which hair, identified in Latin (capillus), is a medium for discussing post-colonial and post-slavery identities, mindful to the impact this organic matter has in moments of cultural contact between people of different groups or societies.
