Deri Andrade

Deri Andrade was born in Alagoas, in 1987. Currently, he lives and works in São Paulo. He holds a degree in Social Communications, with a specialization in Journalism and a minor in Culture, Education and Ethno-racial Relations from the Latin American Culture and Communications Center (CELACC) at the University of São Paulo, where he has deepened his research on Afro-Brazilian art, investigating the correlation between content and form present in the poetics of black artists. He is the founder of the Afro Project, a virtual platform that maps black artists’ work across the national territory. He currently works in the communications department at the Museum of Modern Art São Paulo (MAM).
