Born in 1983 in Brasília, Federal District. Lives and works in Brasília. Undergraduate degree in Visual Arts from the Faculdade de Artes Dulcina de Moraes (FADM), 2010. Has worked for over a decade as a visual artist, and since 2012 he has been a teacher in the Taguatinga public schools in the Federal District. He is represented by the Mendes Wood DM Gallery. Solo shows include: Antonio Obá, Galeria Mendes Wood DM, 2017, São Paulo; Carnagem, Galeria de Arte XXX, Brasília, 2016; Cultura Afro em Alta, Espaço Cultura Inglesa, Brasília, 2013. Certain themes run throughout his work, such as the relationship between religiosity, Christian iconography, the mixing of races, memory, body and ritual, which appear in works such as: Iconografia para uma missa preta, 2016; Pregação, 2016; or Atos da transfiguração – desaparição ou receita para fazer um santo, 2015 (performance).
