Born in Port-au-Prince (Haiti, 1975), Adler Guerrier now resides in Miami. Here, in 2000, he received his Bachelor of Arts from the New World School of the Arts. His work – developed primarily in the media of photography and recording – subverts the constructions of race, class and culture by exploring everyday spaces.
Among his solo exhibitions are Adler Guerrier: Conditions and and Forms for blck Longevity at the California African American Museum and Adler Guerrier: Formulating a Plot at the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). His works are included in the collections of ICA, Miami, MOCA NOMI and the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York.
