Tiffany Alfonseca

Tiffany Alfonseca is a Dominican-American artist born in 1994 and based in the Bronx, New York. Through her colorful and vibrant works, in which she combines painting, drawing, silkscreen printing and embroidery, Alfonseca addresses black and Afro-Latin diasporic culture as well as the empowerment of the female body through the presentation of curved or “plus-sized” women.

Alfonseca graduated with honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2020. She has participated in group exhibitions, including Como nosotros somos (New Image Art Gallery LA, California, 2020), The Medium Is The Message (UnitLondon, London, 2020), Art Fair 154 (Gallery 1957, London, 2020), Everyday Is Sunday (UTA Artist Space LA, California, 2020) and Afro Syncretic (New York, 2019).
