Caribbean Art Initiative Residency Program

This residency is for art practitioners, artists, and any academics, researchers and scientist of other fields of knowledge interested in art.

What’s the mission?
This residency would like to strengthen the ties that unite the Caribbean region with Basel and the community of artists around the Institute Art Gender Nature HGK FHNW, Basel. The residency is intended to allow you to
concentrate in your work while sharing aspects of your practice with a community deeply interested in listening. Practices sensitive to gender transformation, nature and vernacular cultures, but we are open to be surprised by other approaches as well are especially of interest.

Applicants are kindly advised to prepare following information before starting the applications.
Images should not exceed 72 dpi (low res in jpg format) and the text documents are in a pdf or a word format.

1. A short biography (max. 350 words)
2. A motivation letter: including your interests and detail your fields of investigations and research.
3. A text about the body of work and or a text about your current research projects.
