What does it mean to exhibit indigenous human remains in European museums? In order to discuss this ssue we invite all those who keep asking themselves above and similar questions, to an open discussion. The Humboldt Forum, one of the most expensive and controversial cultural projects in Europe, will open in Berlin by the end of 2020. There, only a small part of the collection of the Ethnological Museum Berlin will be exhibited, which counts more than 120,000 pieces from Americas.
We cordially invite the protagonists of culture, politics and activism to the panel discussion Devuelve, pé! (Give It back!) to address the issues evoving around restitution of Latin American cultural heritage. The artists of “Decolonize M21” will give an introduction to the issues related to the Humboldt Forum.
